Mathematics for Teachers I (MATH 1350)

Topics include concepts of sets, functions, numeration systems, number theory, and properties of the natural numbers, integers, rational, and real number systems with an emphasis on problem solving and critical thinking. Special emphasis will be given to terminology, notation, skills, and approaches relevant to the elementary and middle grades and to uses of manipulatives and technology in the classroom. Prerequisite: MATH 1314.
